Protobyte was established in 1982 and provides custom digital and analog solutions for applications ranging from commercial to industrial. With an extensive troubleshooting background, we have the reputation for producing circuit designs and layouts that work the first time.

Protobyte joined the SKYCAM development team during 1999 and assumed the lead-engineering role from 2001 until early 2004.  We are responsible for having designed and programmed the motion-controllers, servo-amplifiers, power systems, sensor systems and operator console electronics presently used on the newest platform version 6.0. As a member of the  SKYCAM development team, we've been honored to work with the most talented Engineers, Programmers, Technicians and Fabricators in the industry. During 2004 Winnercomm (Winner Communications) acquired SKYCAM.  The NFL 200X season broadcasts can be seen in HIGH-DEFINITION video on ESPN and ABC affiliate stations.
